bennyboy
Interesting that they have stated the batch quantities, as I thought that these were usually a commercial secret for non-limited editions?
lindi
Dapol standard batch quantities are 300 per loco/livery 300 per coach/livery 100 per wagon/livery They do vary occasionally HIA are 500 each 2D-019-009 HST GWR Green I've seen listed at 400 and 600 by Dapol The DCC fitted locos are taken out of the main batch as the chips are fitted at Dapol factory in Chirk
Wherry Lines
I see that the Pacers aren't mentioned. I think I made my pre-order for one back in 2013!
MGR Hooper!
Wasn't long before the Pacer was brought into the discussion... LOL!
Les1952
Wasn't long before the Pacer was brought into the discussion... LOL! Last report on the Pacers was that they were waiting shipping. (beginning of October) That would make them December at the earliest. These are a small consignment in international shipping terms. Remember that small consignments of anything from China are low priority as they have to wait for a slot in someone else's container going to the right port, then wait for that container to have a full load, then sometimes be delivered to the port and actually loaded. Then allow six to eight weeks for the transit depending on which ports the ship is calling at in the meantime. Plus of course that ship can be diverted if there is a more profitable part-load waiting at another port somewhere. Which recent shipment of UK models was a week later than expected because the ship was diverted to Rotterdam before Felixstowe rather than after? The mixed load containers are also occasionally held (sealed) at the UK port because one item in them hasn't finished its customs clearance. Then we wonder why occasionally we wait three or four months for an item that is reported as "made" to actually reach the shops... lindi
2D-019-006 Class 43 HST East Coast 43309/306 4 Car Set 2D-019-009 Class 43 HST GWR Green 43187/188 4 Car Set these have now been released and are available from model shops. The associated MK3 coaches are also available. Not sure why they were not on the Dapol release list as they had been on/off of it for the last few months. RMweb Premium Kris Posted October 26, 2018 RMweb Premium Share Posted October 26, 2018 Why on earth are the GWR doors white? Paul Hopefully that is a problem with the photo, however given the history's of incorrect colours I will not be holding my breath.
RMweb Gold TomE Posted October 26, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted October 26, 2018 The doors on the samples a TINGS were silver, and Dapol say over on their digest they are silver on the production models. I think the photos are slightly overexposed which is making them appear lighter than they are. I do, and did when looking at the samples at TINGS, think the silver on the East Coast model is too blue however, and it appears the logo is more on the red side than the redy-purple they should be.
