Interesting that the class 50's are showing as December, at TINGS they were saying march next year for the 50?

Also interesting to see the VTEC HST and MK3’s have dropped off this list since last month. A recent reply on the Dapol digest said these are actually in production at the moment.

 

Seems I’ll have to wait until early next year for this set.

Well, if the 50s really are due in December, that should mean that they are being produced round about now. It would be nice to see them arrive this year (my wallet will disagree) but I have reservations. There’s been nothing from Dapol on the Digest part of their website about these in the last few weeks so I’m inclined to think that March 2019 is more likely.

If I was Dapol I'd be slightly concerned that they were releasing a whole new swathe of Class 68 models when retailers are heavily reducing the price of the ones that they already have in stock.

If the 50s really are due in December they will have been produced at least a month ago unless they are being airfreighted in to catch Christmas.  Don't forget surface shipping is a 6 week job at least by the time waiting, customs, packing and unpacking are taken into account..

One month ago the decorated samples were on display at the SVR gala day and constructive comments on them were subsequently acknowledged by Dapol on the Digest part of their website. Based on that, I think it's very unlikely that they’ve been produced already and so I don’t think we’ll see them this year. Edited November 3, 2018 by Western Aviator
