I’ve been looking at the Forum for quite some time and found (via other forums/search engines) some interesting threads I wasn’t aware of because there is no search facility unless you become a member!  So here we are.

Main modelling interest is 1960-1970 LM/SR regions (sorry, love MU’s & overhead knitting) in OO but not DCC; coming up to retirement so now is the time to start building a layout and running the stock.

Thanks for the welcome Spitfire2865, probably not live but just cosmetic as not all the locomotives are manufactured with an electrical connection from the pantograph (some are plastic!); of course, anything is possible in the future.

Welcome, 75B! Always good to see new faces!

Your particular specialist subjects are a wee bit outside of my personal area of modelling I'm afraid, but I wish you the best with your endeavors and if I can help in any way just ask. :)

Welcome from me too, Keith.

As for the railway modelling interests, Modernisation Plan multiple units - and OHLE - sounds about as interesting as it gets.

I hope you enjoy your time here - I've certainly enjoyed the last 9 years (gulp!).

Regards,

Huw.

75B isn’t a bad sort of railway place - I was in the Control there in 1968/9. And passed my (car!) driving test in the town in 1972! Cyril, one of the loco shed supervisors, would occasionally give me a lift home to Dorking.

As to your choice of prototype, it is as valid as any other, and plenty of people on here admire EMUs of both denominations.

Welcome!

Ah 75B, many happy hours spent 'spotting in that lovely little engine shed. Welcome to the forum from someone who enjoys modelling the LMR region (SSR area) pre-knitting, also no DCC, not because I dislike, just don't need. :sungum:
