RMweb Premium DIW Posted October 26, 2009 RMweb Premium Share Posted October 26, 2009 Hi Keith, me again! I think that 1604 has bee preserved; http://www.flickr.com/photos/25385408@N02/3703475149/ I can remember the distinctive sound of the NOHABs floating down from the viaduct (just outside Luxembourg station) to 'The Pub In The Grund' (Scott's Bar?) throughout my time in Luxembourg (91-94). There were several there still belonging to the SNCB of course, on through trains. Cheers, Dave

Mike at C&M
Just how I like my European railways of old... plenty of rolling stock with distinctive character! A cracking set of photographs, but the 4 flatirons together in Luxembourg station is definitely the pick of the bunch.

45669
Things had changed a bit by the time I went there in 2004. There are some pictures on my Fotopic site and, if anyone is interested to have a look, here's the link : http://ronfisher.fotopic.net/c1495597.html
RMweb Premium NGT6 1315 Posted October 30, 2009 RMweb Premium Share Posted October 30, 2009 cheers 87029, heres a couple more from the same trip . I think the first one was on our way to Luxembourg taken at Leige?? Cannot really see enough of the station to be able to answer that question - but then again I'm not sure how Li?©ge-Guillemins looked in 1991. The only time I went through that station so far was in 2005 and they were in the middle of renovating the station at that time. What was not yet renovated back then did look quite grotty, though - much like some of the outlying platforms at Brussels Southern Station .
