Chubber
Force appropriate lengths of rubber cable over short stubs of toothpick to form a useful chimney pot. Glue the toothpick securely into the chimney top, and the pot will spring back to shape when next you knock it whilst performing 'hand-shunting'! Hope this helps, Doug [The model is the Scalescenes Country Pub]
RW James
That's a great idea Doug. It reminds me of a similar solution to the broken telephone poles that usually run alongside the track - using a similarly flexible material at the base of these poles and they'll spring right back into place. gastwo
Good idea Doug, thanks for sharing. Have to say I'm very impressed with your outside plumbing on the pub. Can you tell us what you used for the piping? Regards, Shaun.
Chubber
Hi, Shaun, I used solder wire wrapped with tiny strips of paper for the soil vent pipe, 0.6mm florists wire and 1mm plastic rod. Glad you like it, I think I'll post the pub building too, not too many of them seem to have been made! Rick.....good call for telegraph poles ! Scalescenes
Another great idea, many thanks Doug, I'll give it a try! Up until now I have been buying large quantities of Langley chimney pots (Ref: F111p).
