The Dorman style colour light was built by Tony Sissons and is described here

The previous signal, VD102, was recovered

Final shots of it in place.

Having been recovered, with its sub baseboard mount.

The replacement signal and the old signal.

The Dorman based signal will use a sub baseboard mount, the same as the one visible on the old signal, to ensure squareness.

Sadly the yellow, which is obtained by dithering the other colours in the head (Red/Green/Blue) is not clear enough to be seen at the normal public viewing angle, for this reason we have decided to treat the signal as a 2-aspect and I will be altering the controls to reflect this, I will be making other signals flash so we can retain that "Oooo, that signals flashing" look.

We have some ideas to try but not before Ally Pally.

Sorry the photos aren't very good but I couldn't stretch or lean much yesterday :(

I'd seen from some earlier posts that you have been in hospital.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

PS

Nice signal, pity about the yellow aspect viewing problems. Is this a problem with the type of LED used?

Well modelled - nice to see that sort of attention to detail being done and so well.

What's next? A Preliminary route indicator (which seem to be all the rage nowadays) or more obscurely , model of an Ansaldo signal head....

Now an Ansaldo head would be interesting - complete with the slightly peculiar colours of the red and yellow aspects (unless they 'fixed' them following teh last trial i witnessed - although they were considered on that test to be compliant(ish) with the BR spec.
