merlin46
I had not realised that Widnes Vine Yard had gone P4. It must have grown in our workshop overnight. '00' to P4 with a touch of the keyboard If only it was that easy or even possible Tim
Kenton
Can someone please explain what the difference is between "Specialist Exhibitors" and "Exhibitors" or is it that they just paid more for their stand? That aside it is quite an impressive line-up, with a few notable exceptions. My only problem is the date and the venue
-missy-
Don't forget the 2mm Scale Association will be there as well. David I hope so! I am down for doing a demo there Saturday! Missy

Redkiterail
If you have a travel card or freedom pass or a OAP etc bus pass. The W3 bus runs from Wood Green Tube station and Alexander Palace National Rail station just in case the shuttle bus is full.

RMweb Premium John M Upton Posted March 7, 2011 RMweb Premium Share Posted March 7, 2011 Day off booked, ticket ordered, shopping list coming together nicely, wallet prepped, not even any engineering works to get in my way so I shall be there Saturday morning. However... Be aware that there is going to be some big union protest in central London on the very same Saturday so if that kicks off, going back home may have to be done by a slightly more circuitous route to avoid the loonies and the Metropolitan Police's finest in their riot gear! OldNick
I had not realised that Widnes Vine Yard had gone P4. It must have grown in our workshop overnight. '00' to P4 with a touch of the keyboard If only it was that easy or even possible Tim If anyone remembers Ambergate, it has changed from EM to P4 - but I gather it took a fair amount of work with a soldering iron. stewartingram
If you have a travel card or freedom pass or a OAP etc bus pass. The W3 bus runs from Wood Green Tube station and Alexander Palace National Rail station just in case the shuttle bus is full. W3 also runs from Finsbury Park - use the Underground ticket office exit, not the FCC end - longer journey from FPK but a better interchange with both mainline & Underground. Dave777
One of my four yearly exhibitions outings (or thereabouts), so I'll see you there. I'll probably do the Sunday - watch the Australian Grand Prix at 7am and then trundle down after that.

I'll probably do the Sunday - watch the Australian Grand Prix at 7am and then trundle down after that. Ahhh! Please don't mention the result in front of Loch Dour. I've got the '+' set so I can watch it Monday! I'd threaten to throw 37's at people if they do but it could backfire big time! kev.

Beacon
Ticket arrived in the post this week. Looking forward to it on Saturday. I've been wanting to see Widnes in the flesh for ages! Does anyone have any recommendations for where I should get the train to coming from Southampton? I know there are buses from Wood Green and Alexandra Palace stations so was planning just to ask at the station when I get my ticket otherwise. I know there are buses from Wood Green and Alexandra Palace stations so was planning just to ask at the station when I get my ticket otherwise. Depending on engineering works, I'd suggest getting from Southampton to Waterloo, then Northern Line northbound to either: Leicester Square, change to Piccadilly, then northbound to King's Cross; or to Euston, then change to the City branch of the Northern Line, and 'southbound' to King's Cross. From King's Cross there are direct trains to Alexandra Palace, and buses I believe go from there. Personally I walk the fifteen minutes up the hill from AP station, but I don't know your health status so don't know if that would be viable.

If you come into waterloo take the Northern Line to euston change on to the victoria line north bound to finsbury park. Follow the signs to Terminus place in the station because as there are two bus stations one either side of the station because of the low bridge and get a W3 to going to Northumberland Park and it will almost drop you at the door. A very well troden route for me! better go i will miss my train!
