Dave777
Post links up folks, I'll create a master list in this first post. The only criteria (apart from it having a prominence of BR blue stock) is that the layout must have at least a baseboard and some track down. List of Layouts (by scale): Blue with Yellow Faces - OO gauge Doncaster - OO gauge Glasburgh TMD - OO gauge Nell's Bridge - OO gauge Llanbourne North Wales - OO gauge Lock Dour - OO gauge Marton Central (enjoy the pics, layout now backdated to 1960s) - OO gauge Orchard Road - OO gauge Pallet Lane - OO gauge Penmouth - OO gauge Rodents' Vale - OO gauge Crossfields - N gauge Elwood East - N gauge Hare's Run - N gauge Shawbury - N gauge Deadwater Burn - EM Foundry Lane - EM Roundtree Sidings - EM Tarring Neville - EM

RMweb Gold Stubby47 Posted May 26, 2011 RMweb Gold Share Posted May 26, 2011 Can I ask how a layout can be defined as being within the BR Blue era ? My boxfile layout, Laterite & Co Ltd, is generally run with blue locos, but can just as easily be run with Late Emblen BR Steam, or even LMS. Is it more to do with the lineside infrastructure than the rolling stock ? Cheers Stu
RMweb Gold Tay Bridge Posted May 27, 2011 RMweb Gold Share Posted May 27, 2011 Hi Folks My layout is Glasburgh TMD set circa 1981 DCC Sound Chris Glasburgh TMD Circa 1981

Cheers Stu Fair point, and since 'BR blue' refers to the colour of the locos then a layout with blue locos does indeed qualify. I'm not being strict about it though, if someone provided a link to, say, an industrial layout with no BR blue but it was set in 1975, then I'd probably include the link as an example of modelling of the era. It's all useful.
Pre-Tops Blue
Set in the late 60s/early 70s my layout ‘Crossfields’ is firmly rooted in the period! Crossfields Mark
RMweb Gold Russ (mines a pint) Posted May 27, 2011 RMweb Gold Share Posted May 27, 2011 my layout was set 1968, and could reasonably include blue or green diesels and some of the mish-mashes of liveries in between (I'm saving them for the tranisition era group! ) but here is some of better pics of blue loco's on the layout. layout is still on rmweb with new owner (see link in sig.)
RMweb Premium Colin Posted May 28, 2011 RMweb Premium Share Posted May 28, 2011 Russ, I do like that shot of the 27 entering the overgrown station - the backscene in particular is most convincing - nice one!

P.C.M
Hi all, Llanbourne is my North Wales inspired terminus, set in 1985-7 so plenty of blue diesels. other liverys were about by then but Blue locos are most common. Cheers Peter.
Jack
Nell's Bridge is set in the Western Region blues period, roughly the early 70's. Its OO, and hopefully about to get a bit of an overhall ...
Dave777
Okay, I've trawled the Layouts forum up to my own layout (useful as a marker), so I'll carry on from there tomorrow. This will take some time to build up the resource, so please bear with me. After layouts I'll start trawling the Prototype Questions and Help forums for suitable topics. Edit: is the banner too big on people's PC? It's exactly the right size here on my lappie but on my work PC it's too big and requires scrolling across. However, that's on creakly old IE6 so I'm not too fussed - just wondered what everyone else could see.
