Kenton
The tabs contain salt and rinse aid anyway. Not the cheap plain "no play ball" ones we use - but I wouldn't add one to the kit wash. Scrub and wash in Cif as usual then instead of a final rinse in hot water - use the 50'C wash in the dishwasher. Anyone know the answer? Guessing, you wipe it off with a dry cloth rather than let it evaporate. I also guess you could wash it off with water - it is probably IPA and so would be miscible. Kenton
I believe it's mostly white spirit OK. then it wouldn't be miscible and so dry rag looks like best option.
JeffP
I've often wondered about that, since I've used "brake cleaners" when fitting new discs to the car, but they just sya spray and leave. Doesn't make much sense to me.....
ChrisG
The possible issue is the use of rinse aid - you know the "adds sparkle" stuff. One of the reasons I offer to fill the dishwasher is that when it demands rinse aid I can sneak in a kit only wash. Of course the "sparkle" will remain after a high-temperature rinse because it is designed that way. Hooray - I've been doing this for years but never dared tell anyone. I'm glad to find I'm not alone! Mind you, I have been doing it with rinse aid. Can't say it's been a problem.... Chris
