No connection to the Waveney Valley Model Railway Club but a delightful exhibition in a wonderful setting. I missed last years exhibition but I enjoyed the previous years visit.

St Felix school is sufficiently far out from Southwold to avoid the inevitable holiday traffic.

Because Waverney Valley club organise it but the original poster isn't a member of that club?

Usually a decent show, though difficult to get to from Mkt Harborough

(Edited to make it clear I don't live in Market Harborough just in case anyone thought I do)

Why, when I click on the link supplied, do I get the WVMRC Exhibition page then?

So you didn't fancy Perth then?

Couldn't make it due to finances, we couldn't ask for more expenses just because I moved so I had to stand down, but as it's on a different weekend it doesn't matter anyway !

Sorry, didn't notice the date, another senior moment. I am sure you will be sadly missed at Perth, WVY will not be the same without you out front. I am suprised that all the Wirral Guys have the energy to operate at Perth after Wigan last weekend. All your efforts where very much appreciated. Enjoy yourself at Southwold, I am sure if the show has your recommendation it will be well worth the visit.

This is always a pleasent show in a nice neck of the woods, especially due to the promitiy of the Adnams brewery and their excellent shop in town. Like the last few years I shall be there assisting Mike Wild and Hornby Mag crew, I think we are exhibiting the N Gauge layout Hettle this year.

Will anybody find out what is happening with the Imptus kits as Karlgarin Models are listed to be there.

People have been wondering what might be happening with the Impetus kits for about a decade, so I doubt anything will. Karlgarin seems largely to have moved away from 4mm

Just a quick bump with under a week to go - Due to unforeseen circumstances, Potterbourne will now be attending as a last minute stand in.

Do come along and say hello, and perhaps have a go if your there next weekend :good:

As planned I managed to visit the Southwold Model Railway Exhibition which is presented by the Waveney Valley Model Railway Club with the exhibition now in its 24th year.

Here are a few snaps of some of the layouts being presented and the show continues on Sunday if you wish to pay a visit.

Food is served in one of squash courts and then you can sit down to eat in the marque and watch the Gauge 1 trains doing their stuff.

All in all a good day out with some decent trade support as well. Here's looking forward to their Silver Jubilee exhibition in 2013.

Enjoyed visiting today. It was good to see the gauge 1 layout back this year. Enjoyed watching Warren Lane - an inspirational layout and one which appeared to draw plenty of attention

Good to catch up with Graham_muz for our annual chat

Went today and what an excellent exhibition it was, some really fantastic layouts.

Great to see the Gauge 1 back this year, I love the smell of meths in the morning!

Had a nice chat with Josh and Westerner who were operating Potterbourne.

Treated myself to a new Land Rover & a Stove R!
