RMweb Gold traction Posted September 13, 2012 RMweb Gold Share Posted September 13, 2012 I will be there with the N-gauge Thomas&Friends layout, using the Hornby Elite & RailMaster for all to have a play with I need to see if Gareth has a little bit more space so I can take my box file layout as well for folks to see. See you there! Cheers Ian
Trains4U
Bachmann, Hornby and Gaugemaster will be there. Blue Pullman on display! Runswick Leamside up and running and several layouts in operation from customers and local clubs. I'm also expecting a few displays of things built using products from the shop, including a hand built working model of a fairground waltzer and a 1/12 scale articulated truck. We have a charity raffle with a good selection of prizes and we've been assured of TWO live steam attractions outside! (Subject to availability of course) I look forward to seeing some of you there on Sunday! Cheers Gareth

BigAndy
Me and the boys are getting ready to make the journey from sunny Macclesfield down to Peterborough this weekend. I've spent all week in the shed, cleaning wheels of all the Leamside stock that is coming along with us. There will be 4 of the original Leamside crew there on Sunday, running the layout with a lot of the stock that used to run at exhibitions. Anyone who has never been to Gareth's open day should make the effort and get down there. It's always a cracking and friendly day where you get to see exhibition layouts running, but its a lot more relaxed than an exhibition, so come on down. See you there. Nobby (John)
Wish you would stop having this on the same day as Showbus at Duxford!! I am a judge at Showbus, so i can't get out of it, please look at another date next year
edcayton
I would urge people to support this event. It is great to see a shop putting something back into the hobby, and it has something of the "member's day" about it. Ed
Trains4U
There are 12 (possibly 13 if Traction brings his boxfiles) layouts booked for tomorrow, plus we have a few static displays and demos. RMweb Gold traction Posted September 16, 2012 RMweb Gold Share Posted September 16, 2012 Just like to say a big thank you to Steve, Gareth and the gang for looking after us all so well today. Another really fantastic day and very busy! Cheers Ian
stewartingram
Another thank you from me. As a local I know the shop well, but the 'extras' today were worth visiting for - plus of course the debut of the Bachmann Blue Pullman! Sometime ago I decided against one, but today I succumbed and duly ordered one, it's got the same wow factor as the NRM Deltic in my opinion. Now, about those items I must sell on Ebay.... ess1uk
As one of the first through the door I had a great 2 hours this morning, and Ruby loved Thomas (cheers Ian) and the slot cars. Didn't come home empty handed either Same time next year? Ruby enjoying herself
