jonathan452
Haven't got the magazine yet but here is the front cover for starters-: http://www.facebook.com/#!/photo.php?fbid=266473216808302&set=a.241843545937936.52055.241841349271489&type=1&theater
jonathan452
Unfortunately it looks as if you will have to log in-to Facebook and go to the Rail Express page for the above link. Suffice to say the front cover shows a Virgin HST (of yesteryear) on the coast north of Berwick (ECML) with the title 'Virgin to Bid for the ECML'

Matt
Best modelling content yet from this magazine in my opinion - lots of modelling articles and good variety to boot. Mr editor keep going on this track!
RMweb Gold CovDriver Posted November 20, 2012 RMweb Gold Share Posted November 20, 2012 I have just bought my copy from the shop and the modeller section has to be the best one to date even though the magazine itself is 5 days late into the shops. RMweb Premium Mike Bellamy Posted November 20, 2012 RMweb Premium Share Posted November 20, 2012 Ringburn Yard - 1980s/90s 4mm scale model set in Fife Ringburn is at the NEC this weekend for the Warley Show (Stand A23). It was originally built as Ting Tong Yard by Dave Roome of the Mickleover Club and was then sold to Alex Hall who has put his own finishing touches to the layout. Only photographed in our Clubrooms a few weeks ago and so it's appeared in the magazine quite quickly. Mike
Alcanman
Picked up a copy yesterday, the pics of Ringburn Yard are superb! I remember Ting Tong Yard from Railway Modeller a few years ago. Is Ringburn Yard booked to appear at any other exhibitions in the future? Mal

Supaned
I do like the make-over to Ting Tong yard to create Ringburn . The OCAs loaded with bagged fertilizer are very nicely modelled.

RMweb Premium Mike Bellamy Posted November 24, 2012 RMweb Premium Share Posted November 24, 2012 Is Ringburn Yard booked to appear at any other exhibitions in the future? I spoke to Alex at Warley today - next outing is to Stafford in February Mike
Alcanman
Thanks Mike, I would love to see Ringburn so maybe I'll try to get to Stafford, it a long way and who knows what the weather will be like in February! The layout has really inspired to think about building a similar layout next year. Mal
RMweb Premium Mike Bellamy Posted November 26, 2012 RMweb Premium Share Posted November 26, 2012 Mal I managed to see the photos in the magazine at the weekend and they made the layout look a lot bigger than it really is - there is a shot of the layout (and Alex!) in the Warley exhibition topic. #232 on page 10 here http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/61920-warley-2012/page__st__225
Alcanman
Thanks again, Mike That pic shows all of the scenic area of the layout which, somehow ,looks spacious, despite being only 5ft in length. Excellent! Mal
CullingworthGNR
Fantastic magazine this one, just bought it for a trip to Glasgow. My second ever Rail Express purchase and it won't be the last - loved the reasoning behind the name of Ringburn Yard!
Jim Martin
Definitely one of the better issues, in my view. The bridge model is really excellent: I love the way that the different colours and textures of brickwork have been done, while still making the whole structure hang together. blueeighties
I know this is probably a long shot, but can anyone tell me what issue number the detailing and repainting of Scottish 37's was in? I remember reading it, just not when!
