bagpipes331 Posted February 16, 2013 Share Posted February 16, 2013 Hi, Sorry if this topic has been raised in the past, but after four years of looking I have realised that 1:43 scale Bus or lorry models (Circa mid 60's-early 70's) are possibly impossible to find! I have contacted Corgi, asking if they have plans to introduce lorries to this scale, but they say they have no future plans to. I am aware of the GJH Plant kit of a Leyland BR staff vehicle, but I am looking for flat beds, coal merchant lorries and a decent bus RTR or a good quality kit. Any help gratefully appreciated !! This came with a lamp post IIRC (I'll have to dig the box out). I have a Ford (Ebro) ET7 and a Bedford FOYD,and there is a Bedford TJ coal lorry. Maybe a bit old for you but coal merchants used their vehicles well. All made by 3D printing I believe. I'm afraid I really wouldn't know where to start in what was likely to be in service then. It would be something a travel company would use for "mystery tours" and possibly school runs kinda thing, rather than "service buses" on set routes. These are accompanied by whitemetal castings for the wheels/springs and sundry fittings and topped off with a 2 part resin roof and rear dome. Strip and rod are included for beading, a sheet of fairly substantial glazing material and a good set of instructions are provided. Looking forward to getting stuck in soon! Cheers Jon F.
