And the ease of installing a decoder - just ease off the smokebox door - is brilliant, like Kernow's 0298. Contrast that with the installation I have just done on an HOm 0-6-0 tank, where I had to remove two screws, the cab, the coal load and sidetanks to get access.

I think 1363 would be a popular and pleasing loco on any layout that it graced.......

Are you going to give it a name?

Splasher.    :sarcastic:

Sorry Rob I could not resist that one.

Hi All,

The real No. 1363 once carried the unofficial name ‘Viking’ chalked on it several times. Why we don’t know but there we are...

I wonder if it was because it could sing the spam, spam, spam song?

All the best,

Castle

Hi TBG,

The Viking thing isn’t funny but it is true!

All the best,

Castle

Castle, I knew about the Viking name on the real one.

The loco's talk to me when I work on them (I'm not known as the Bulleid Whisperer for nothing you know :jester: ), Rob's 1363 identifies as female, but has a very male name..  :jester:

Are you qualified to work on locos with gender dysphoria?

Of course - I'm a skilled surgeon ;)

I've had a Castle Class that identified as WW2 fighter, several British Monarch's that have identified as Princesses, but I won't mention what class Rob's 1363 identifies as..  :jester:  :jester:

In that case she must be called Bob

(Or maybe Bernard)
