RMweb Premium John M Upton Posted June 26, 2013 RMweb Premium Share Posted June 26, 2013 Found in a box, an early effort from me circa 1992 when a very rare event occurred, the visit of a 37 - and a split box one at that - to the Coastway West, light engine. 37092 rolled in, paused for a couple of minutes and then headed east amid a cloud of clag! Sorry about the quality, cheap film camera and appalling light!!

Rivercider
Here are a couple more:- 37295 and 37233 are in typical Bath Road condition, they had been regulars on the Tytherington - Wolverton stone working and are seen passing through Oxford with ARC PGAs, 31304 had been on the Bicester MOD trip, 10/7/81. Penrhos1920
These are the first photos I every took of class 37s. They are taken straight from the slides with out any processing. I've used my old film slide copier which gives a better picture than a slide scanner, but only does 2/3rds of the frame. 37050 and 37053 storm through Chelmsford with a Felixstowe bound freightliner 1982 37118 southbound through Chelmsford with an ex Harwich train to Liverpool St? 1982 37026 Oban August 1883 37108 departing Oban to Glasgow August 1983 Edited June 28, 2013 by Penrhos1920

mike knowles
Whilst on holiday in the Yorkshire Dales earlier this month I managed to cop these at Hellifield on Monday 3rd June; Two days later I did a walk from Ribblehead to Blea Moor Tunnel entrance and on the way back got them again: They actually stopped for a while at the box to let a couple of passenger turns through which enabled me to get to the viaduct and get these; When setting off from the box I must say the driver gave it some on the brief run up to the viaduct! All these sitings were pure luck, I had no prior information, I just happened to be in the right place at the right time! If only I was as lucky with the lottery!
