Guest
Over four years since I first raised this problem! How time flies. I continued to have a series of problems with this train. At one stage i wrote to Bachmann who sent me a new pcb which was good of them. That fixed one of the problems. The same can't be said for the decoder or the sound files. The supplier gave me a series of CV changes which tended to fix one problem and create another. I then packed the train away for a couple of years or so. But I recently got it out. It still runs nicely but the lights and functions are all over the place. I have found a supplier who now have a 350 sound file for a Zimo decoder. So I will be trying that. Sir TophamHatt
Just to say, I appreciate the continued reports back. I've been saved many times by really old forum threads that still worked.
Pete the Elaner
I have only just seen this. I have 2 350s both with Loksound decoders & both run rather nicely & I have no issues with any sound or light functions. Possible differences: I have not run them for years so don't know if the decoders are v3.5 or v4. I did not fit any Bachmann decoders first. I avoid them now having bought 2 in the past, both of which ignored CV3 which is enough to put me off them permanently. I don't have reason to suspect they would do any damage though.
