With the recent snow now mostly thawed from the valley bottom, a Trans Pennine Express class 170 crosses Slaithwaite (pronounced in Yorkshire as 'slawit') Viaduct with 1K17, 13:40 Hull to Manchester Piccadilly on 1st February 2015.

Making good use of, among others, the top of Rochester Castle and the footpath/cycle path on the N side of the M2 viaduct.

Leaving Halifax, Northern Rail 150136 crosses Beacon Hill Viaduct before entering the 1,105 yards of Beacon Hill Tunnel with 2E07, 10:48 Manchester Victoria to Leeds on 23rd February 2015.

Looking distinctly N gauge, 2 East Midlands Trains class 158s pass through Edale in the Peak District with 1L09, 10:52 Liverpool Lime Street to Norwich on 10th March 2015.

10:45 Peterborough Maint Shed Gbrf to Wellingborough Up Tc Gbrf 3 minutes early at Burton Latimer, Wednesday 18 February 2015.

Obviously modern because of the 66 yet still somehow timeless.
