JeffP
The 7mm Deltic reckons to have been weathered, yet it looks pristine to me?
Guest
The 7mm Deltic reckons to have been weathered, yet it looks pristine to me? Look at the roof!
Peter Kazmierczak
Rather like comparing apples and oranges, but I know which of the two I'd prefer to own.
brian daniels
Don't think Nimbus got re-furbished did it so the DJH one should not have the quarter lights painted blue and it kept it's glass headcode up to the end I believe.
DelticBlade
20 did finish with the unplated headcode.
Titan
It also appears to have the fabricated bogies instead of the correct cast steel type.
34theletterbetweenB&D
The major 'overall appearance' difference is the 4mm model body well overheight above the bogies, forced by the need to get it round R2. That apart the 7mm model scores heavily - as expected - for the better proportioning of small detail.
Titan
But if that better proportioned small detail is incorrect, e.g. the cab side windows, surely it should still be considered a minus score? Although to be fair that might be more of a reflection on the professional builder choosing the wrong options rather than a deficiency in the kit.
