DavidB-AU
A former colleague of mine who is now working in Sri Lanka sent me these photos of the Ceylon Railway taken in the 1870s to 1890s. Cheers David

RMweb Premium Mike Bellamy Posted January 18, 2010 RMweb Premium Share Posted January 18, 2010 David There are some exceptional shots there - full of atmosphere and showing the challenging terrain. Many thanks for sharing those with us. If you look back at this topic http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php/topic/5995-hunslet-j1-4-6-4t-drawing/ you will see that my friend Tim has been asking for details of the Hunslet J1 that ran on the Kelani Valley line. Would your friend there have any more pictures hidden away that might help? Mike
DavidB-AU
Since that thread is locked I'll answer here. My only suggestion is to contact the Model Railway Club of Sri Lanka which may have better plans or could put him in contact with somebody who has already built one.
