corax67 Posted January 17, 2014 Share Posted January 17, 2014 I was wondering if anyone had sound fitted one of these models - I have one of the DCC fitted models which runs really well on my shunting puzzle but now looks a little "ordinary" next to my sound fitted 0-4-2t porter. Looks like plenty of room inside for a micro sound decoder & a couple of sugar cube speakers behind the radiator grille but I was wondering if anyone knows of a suitable sound supplier. Its an adaptation of the Fowler sound project we have produced with electric start, air horn and manual or air ringer bells. Its designed to install in ZIMO decoders. For you Gas Mech you need to decide which of the ZIMO decoders you want to fit. Try for the MX645 at 30x15x4mm if you can fit it in and only if that works fit a smaller one.
