PJBambrick
Some interesting & creative contributions on here, this is a worthy challenge indeed! As modellers we have no need of perspective, in its 1,2 & 3 point conventions, it is only effective as a means of simplifying the placing and sizing of elements in a 2D image. None of the 'rules' of perspective apply to us because we have a huge advantage, in that we can create things for the eye to view in glorious 3D. So for us, creating an illusion of distance should be a study of visual perception, not perspective, there's quite a difference between the two. As well as perspective then, there is the thorny issue of 'scale', now Jack Nelson didn't use any scale at all, and in making a diorama nor should we. Our eyes don't see things in scale or perspective, so don't get bogged down with convention, Jack certainly didn't. By the way, and don't get me wrong here, but I'm definitely looking forward to seeing Stubby47's toilet!
