is it a Loksound V3.5 or a V4?

Hi Chaz,

V3.5 has a maximum volume value of 64, V4.0 maxes at 192 (or thereabouts).

If the decoder will accept a volume setting of, say 100, and allow you to read that figure back, then it must be a Lok V4.0.

If not, it will be a V3.5.

Always assuming it is a Loksound decoder in the first place! (The value in CV7 will point you to the manufacturer).

Kind regards,

Paul

Thanks to both of you for the useful info'. Incidentally it's definitely a Loksound - I put it in there - and CV7 reads back 151 - I just couldn't remember which version - V4 was available but I had a couple of V3.5s in stock. Will use the info' to find out. Thanks again, lads.

Chaz
