Classsix T
I took the Class 31 out just to make sure it wasn't cracked on the cab corners and then put it away again. Colin Funnily enough, a similar once over was all that was required of Bescot's Peds before undertaking duties! (allegedly, cough...) C6T.

Colin Hi Colin I used Glue for everything, only the Scammell cab is white metal and I just glued it together as the main cab is only 2 pieces from memory. I had 3 more "VEE Tanks" arrive this morning, as luck would have it the numbers follow on from the ones i allready had "bonus". I also have the door sprue's from the VEA wagons (credit to southernman46 for letting me know about this) to build the PVV vans. Thanks must be said to a very helpfull guy at Parkside Dundas. pushpull33
Hi all. I had a trip out over the weekwnd to see if i could trace any of the old line from Parstone station to Salterns Marina. This i believe is whats left. There was some old ballast stone knocking about so am thinking this was it, now a footpath for some of the way allthough the first part is over grown. Looking towards Parkstone. Looking just south of the pottery where Baden Powell school is now situated And looking south just before Saterns Marina Thats all i could find that was left. pushpull33
Thought i would share these as well It's actually quite an arnate building when you look at the detail. The main station building. Detail of the window surrond Chimneys Door frame detail. And the Canopy supports. Then we have the old entrance to the good yard wich was reached by a trailing point off the down main line. And one other thing, The up line platform is faced with Southern style concrete edging (as supplied by Peco), but the down main line is brick faced, well looks like breeze block to me.It's along it's whole length as well so not just an addition. any suggestion as to why this might be. Presumably re-built at some stage or was it original ?????? Thats all folks, Colin
pushpull33
Hi all. Well been working on this for a while. The kit was a Langley Models Scammell Routeman, But the body is scratch built, Well it sort of looks ok after a lot of filling, cutting out lots of circles, Heating up Plastkard in the saucepan trying to get it to bend. Ok so this is the result. Still have the glass to put in the windows. Colin

Colin Always loved those Scammell's, they always looked tough and purposeful!! You've made a good job out of this one, trailer is awesome too, as it's scratch built!!! pushpull33
I just can't find any photos of the old Goods Shed that was at Parkstone, if any can help it would be much appreciated. Colin
pushpull33
Well after not being able to find any Photo's of Parkstone Goods Shed, i just used the drawing from Railway Modeller February 2001. This is the result. Brick is Southeastern Finecast laid on a card superstructure,Painted the mortar on first and then dry brushed using a flat quite stiff brush. The awnings are scratch built, carefully cut out. The roof is a card base with York lazer cut tiles, i have found these well worth the money and will use again. The whole Roof was done with one and a half sheets so not that expensive really. The doors are made from Plasikard. scriped and painted. Guttering and down pipes are just Stripstyrene. The wooden strip below the doors are made from .....Yes .Coffee stirrers. Courtesy of Warwick Services

pushpull33
Thanks for the comments, notifications. I took the baseboards out to our club a couple of weeks ago and set them up. Marked out all the track and marked up where everything had to go. Well it all fits so me thinking track laying maybe next. I gave up on Templot so will build the old fashioned way.fingers crossed. pushpull33
Hi from Parkstone. Thanks for the coments and notes. Well we got there and it bloody works. And the Hornby Sentinal Shunter, i was a bit concerned but it runs faultlessly through the trackwork. I am pleased how this turned out, i think the Lazer glazing is a must it just looks so much better. And just a general view how the Layout is comming along. There is still a lot to do, but one day, Now , where can i get some George Jennings name plates ????
sdw7300
Very impressed by your track work! If the Sentinel will go over it OK, anything else should be fine. Happy modelling
pushpull33
Hi All. It's been a while as the layout has been in storage. I will be starting this thread up again soon as i have been asked to take it to Bournemouth Model Railway Exhibition in February next year. No pressure then. pushpull33
A quick update on Parkstone Goods. I'm glad at the moment i only have to build one quarter of this but it's one ornate bridge. The goods shed is in place.
