Guest dilbert
I have never bought a ltd. edition model loco (was looking for a loco to pull all the BR bauxite and light grey Toad brake vans I have), but today I received the Bachmann model of the SC liveried 8750, outshopped in light blue livery. It's an unusual subject and the outshopped colour befits the loco well. Should Bachmann decide to release a pannier tank outshopped in LT livery, this would be difficult to resist... dilbert

I don't know why they havn't done a standard issue. See link for picture - half way down http://www.newrailwaymodellers.co.uk/Forums/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=17377 The Kernow ones appear on ebay and one sold on Modelfair for ??150. thats nearly 300% of the original sale price. sorry this doens't help you obtain one! The blue one does look nice; I've got a spare 8750 body and a repaint is tempting!
Bont Y Gra
Ebay prices for the LT version are around the ??100.00 mark at the moment, although this is of course approaching double the original price and reflects what a super model it is. I have the Stehenson Clark edition as well and in my opinion it boasts the most convincing weathering i've seen to date on a factory weathered loco. Bachmann Collectors Club limited editions are a bit hit and miss but this one is a little cracker. :icon_thumbsup2:
Sir Hadyn
I have one too, and it looks great. It'll end up working alongside my model of 7754 painted as she was at Mountain Ash or Talywain... Many years ago when at University, my local model shop broke up the Bachmann LT set and I bought the pannier for ??30 (the wagons had already gone!) and I didn't go to the May Ball as a result. I think I got better value for money...
Guest dilbert
From the Bachmann website http://www.Bachmann-...ges/32-200K.jpg and the loco is (to mine eyes) is resplendent. I remember in the early 1990s that Bachmann had released 57xxs in LT livery - at that time we had just bought a house, so missed out on those. Now what if... I hope the formula that Bachmann have used in this instance is successful - a true livery, an interesting story to boot and hopefully applicable to other classes of locos ...dilbert
Sir Hadyn
I wonder if they'll do an orange Jinty for a start? Or in conjunction with the NRM a limited edition BR Black City of Truro?
stewartingram
Surely that should be 1/2 black City of Truro - wasn't it done on one side only? Now that would be a conversation piece!
