enginelane
Very cold morning so no garage today so spent Modelling time cutting out second side of bridge and adding base coat to visible side of bridge Edited January 21, 2018 by enginelane
enginelane
Inside face of other parapet completed. Just need to work out how wide the road should be

enginelane
How wide’s your bus? Since losing weight is not going too well might be more appropriate to ask how wide is my load! But yes two bus widths and a sidewalk should do it.
enginelane
Roadway and sidewalks added. Need to create the effect of support pillars under the bridge Edited January 21, 2018 by enginelane
enginelane
Quick test fit on the layout and roadway need extension and fill piece and looks like will get away with just doing the front support pillars as rest will not be seen.
enginelane
Cold and wet day but if a Modeller always something you can do. Added pieces under the bridge and sidewalks, not bad for a day
enginelane
Waiting in for the patio men to come and start work but no sign as yet so as garage at least 10 degrees warmer than yesterday spent time boxing in additional factory and bridge. Looks like the support on the fiddleyard upright will need easing to widen clearance as longer freight cars pass through the bridge.
enginelane
Painted parapet L and N Grey as original colour too light. Weathering coat to be added and can then be installed. Will not be fixed as spans entrance to the fiddleyard and if layout ever does go out would be vulnerable to knocks.
enginelane
AK winter streaking grime added with base coat for the roadway.

enginelane
Bridge in situ. Additional stippled winter streaking grime added to Model colour flat concrete.
enginelane
Garage access curtailed for time being as new driveway being laid. Cutting up old drive way has resulted in a very fine layer of weathering across the layout, good job remembered to put all the stock away in the boxes I made! enginelane
Pavers now at the front o& the garage door completing the driveway and I wish I had covered the layout with a sheet as a thick layer of stone dust coats all surfaces!

enginelane
Pavers have done a great job and rain has washed away most of the Stone dust outside so will make a start cleaning up today. Looks like some old Wicks make it yourself wardrobes are surplus to requirement and could end up creating cupboard space in the garage which would create clean storage space.
enginelane
Missed out on the snow this morning and finally warm enough to get back into the garage and continue the clean up from the brick paving dust that has covered every surface. Members of WRMS requested an increase in the size of the squares for the 60 square challenge to 5cms by 5 cms. This gives a total of 1500 sq cms to plan and construct a diorama as part of the 60 year celebration. Edited March 8, 2018 by enginelane

enginelane
What is this 'Challenge' that you speak of? I know nothing about it. It was in the last Society newsletter and was mentioned as part of all our own. I am putting together a piece that will go on the club room noticeboard and will go on the Society website
