Mod6 Posted February 3, 2010 Share Posted February 3, 2010 The objective of the gallery function is to provide added value to the forum in the way of a useful and useable photo resource. This could either be to augment an existing topic or blog, or as a feature in its own right. But to function properly it does require some effort on the part of the posters to describe and explain what the photos are, and if they do relate to topics elsewhere on the forum to link them. Furthermore, the gallery function should not be regarded as a general upload facility for all your photos - a number seem to be of limited value and quality, and there are many superfluous very similar pictures. This just serves to dilute its overall value and functionality. Please therefore give some thought when uploading to the gallery - describe the photograph, provide links to other relevant forum topics if applicable, and be mindful that the gallery is meant to be a resource for all members.
