LongRail
Could anyone tell me which way the double doors on the BR crew bus's open? I'm building the 7mm GJH plant model and want to modify it with the doors open. Looks like they slide but not sure. Thanks Few photos of the inside of a crew bus, one seat not fitted there are tables that fit between the facing seats

Bob Reid
Sherpa Tenzing - the 2 litre Diesel Van that never let us down.... Seen here in September 1994 at Clayhills AC_94_003 by Bob Reid, on Flickr Some idiot went an parked a big ugly loco behind it. I'm sure Merfyn might know some more about F934KGA's origins Born in 1989 it was the depot van - mainly for stores use (runs between Aberdeen & Craigentinny with the odd trip via Haymarket) and as the callout van. It died on us possibly around 96' or slightly later for after that it was taken away and we had a regular flat bed on hire from Arnold Clark's. Interestingly though, it didn't go off the DVLA's radar until June 2001. It has popped up in photo's from years past... Another from July 1994 09205 by rob50037, on Flickr Nice pic here from 1991, three years earlier though still wearing it's ScotRail guise; Aberdeen Clayhills - 47145 'Merddyn Emrys' , 08882 - 04-05-1991 by Gordon Thomson, on Flickr And finally here it is as a bairn back in 1989 (sadly I can't embed the photo)! with it's original "ScotRail" livery - though it took a few years for the AFM to get it branded with something more appropriate for an Intercity Depot. Clicky linky thing Bob [Edit] Okay - it's probably a Freight Rover 200 (2.0 Diesel) but it doesn't sound as exciting as a "Sherpa" ! It did take over from a "Sherpa" 08680 Aberdeen stabling point 08.03.88 by Paul Smith, on Flickr Edited February 9, 2018 by Bob Reid

There were hundreds of them all round the country. Last one I saw in use with I think EWS in 2002, next to our Jarvis van. 14 years old by then, not a bad life.
