RMweb Gold tomparryharry Posted December 17, 2017 RMweb Gold Share Posted December 17, 2017 That's probably a 22' train length, so your wallet is presumably already drained of vital force by the building of the room to take the layout that can realistically accomodate running it? At least the model will pull them, on the indication of the O2. If there isn't 22' available, the cunning plan is to put the unavailable types in the rear part of the train which has necessarily been omitted. Pending rectifying the situation with kit or scratch built vehicles of course. You are correct. My retirement present is a railway room just for me. There will be Rule 1. Well, lots of Rule 1's, actually. S.C. Rooge.

Heritage Tim
Is there a release date for these yet? Kind regards Neil Just had a look on a couple of websites and Hattons expect delivery between Jan and March this year, whilst Kernow are more optimistic with it "expected during 2016"... Staffordshire
Before RTR there were kit built 47xx ..... here is a photo of one of my Night Owls ! Any comments welcome ....
Arun Sharma
Is that a Finney kit? 7 or 4mm scale? Really very impressed by the lining - The orange is very nicely subdued. Not something you often see done as well as that. Edited February 8, 2018 by ted675
Staffordshire
This is a 4mm Crownline kit with a little bit of extra detail, Hasn't turned out at all bad in my humble opinion ....
RMweb Gold The Fatadder Posted February 8, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted February 8, 2018 I am nearing with compleation on mine (PDK kit) which is also being finished as 4707, hopefully it should stand up well against the Heljan model once I have finished it. Of course the fact that I have chosen the same loco as Heljan (in the same livery) people will just assume its RTR (so long as the paint finish is up to scratch!) I just have the slide bars and electrics left to build, along with buying some more paint. Certainly plenty of options out there if anyone would prefer to build rather than buy.
Hroth
Very fine models, but I'll just have to wait for Heljan to get things sorted. But what a magnificent beast, SO much more presence than a 28/38xx!
RMweb Gold The Fatadder Posted February 8, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted February 8, 2018 Presence is certainly something it has in spades, I suspect despite their limited use the Heljan model ought to sell in bucket loads as it just looks so impressive. locoholic
Presence is certainly something it has in spades, I suspect despite their limited use the Heljan model ought to sell in bucket loads as it just looks so impressive. Just so long as it works properly and doesn't shed small parts and connecting rods too readily!

Arun Sharma
As an 0gauge modeller, I still have an old "Home of 0 Gauge" "Mega Kits" one to start! If it comes out half as well as Staffordshire's one, I shall be well pleased.

ndg910
Advert in this months RM saying these are going to stockists. If that runs to the same timetable as the 1366 tanks am hopeful we might see these in 6-8 weeks. Am thinking this means they are leaving China but have only ever bought the 1366 tanks from them so I’m not sure and may be guessing. Anyone have any ideas? Hattons are saying Jan- Mar 2018. Mark
47xx-front-ted-kanas.jpg The smoke box saddle looks a bit odd. Has he put the castin on the wrong way round? The bolts are supposed to go into the smoke box not the saddle. Time to duck!! Regards Mark Humphrys Built by Ted Kanas, Martin Finney 7mm kit.
