Sorry if this has been mentioned before, or if there is another thread regarding this, but has anyone managed to fit the Sound Decoder to a Bachmann Class 37 model yet? (with a 21pin adapter). Very tempted to get the stand along TTS 37 sound decoder to do just that. If so, is there much room and is it easy to do? I'm just getting into DCC, so all is quite new to me.

This guy on MRF - see http://www.modelrailwayforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=12387 - has done exactly that to a 21-pin steamer, by way of swapping out the 21-pin circuit board for an 8-pin one to accept the TTS decoder.

Pictures show how he did it.

Possibly you can do similar to the CL37. Should be room for the bits and pieces.

Hi,

I managed it, just unsoldered the 8 pin plug then soldered direct to the 21 pin solder connections on the PCB. (good fun as it's a tight solder for space)

The only thing being is I could only use 3 functions if I recall correctly.

I also used a 3rd party speaker to improve the audio quality.

I wired to the Bachmann diagram below

http://www.Bachmann.co.uk/pdfs/21pin_plug_wiring_diagram-1.pdf

Regards

Roy

Good evening everyone,

I present to you exclusively the first video L.V.T.V. In HD. : D

Indeed, I invested in a small camcorder chosen with the advice of BB 67407 Forum LR Press and member of Euro Alliance Trains on YouTube.

In this video I present the class 37040 locomotive Hornby Railroad range, the test is very positive.  :good:

Have a good watching !

Hi everyone, I come back on the class 37040 Hornby Railroad.

In my project I wanted after the tests of operation, to pass to the step of the patina. It's been done since yesterday afternoon.

Overall, this class 37 has a correct appearance, a very satisfactory functioning, a more realistic look "in its juice" was necessary therefore.

I used my Aztek airbrush with a special acrylic nozzle and Tamya paints: Nato Brown (TAMXF068), Nato Black (TAMXF069), Smoke (TAM019) and Flat Black (TAMXF001) and of course the diluent X20A (TAM040). I have made mixes especially for the bogies and the sill. As well as dilutions of varying strength.

Duration about 2 hours.

Here are the first photos before finding the diesel locomotive on the layout in image and video.

You're most welcome! I'm so happy to see someone do some skillful work with this particular Class 37 rather than go on complaining about a slight mix up in the tooling slides. Kudos to you! You've taken what is a toy train aimed at children and new entrants and made it look like a small masterpiece
