Corgi Toy tram made more realistic ?

Here is my initial attempt at an open front 'canopy' tram made from hand repainted trams stripped for parts , which is close to the 3 window tram at the LT museum at Covent Garden which has been recently repainted in LCC colours, so another project perhaps!!

It appears to be the prototype for the Corgi trams which are far too short for the majority of trams modelled.

Corgi never made this version, probably because of the vulnerability of the top deck overhang.

I have an open front LT coming which will need similar surgery and more careful treatment of the windows/door to the upper deck cabin, and just touching in the paint when the window standards are cut away.

I confess that I like the more rough and ready nature of hand painted and modified trams reminiscent of kit builds and scratch building.
