Robin Brasher
The Purbeck Model Railway Group meets for a modelling session every Wednesday evening and for a running session on the first Friday evening of each month. We meet at the first floor of the Stables, Godlingston Manor, Washpond Lane, Swanage, BH19 3DJ. The main layout is a fine scale 0 gauge digital layout based on the Swanage Railway. This is about 240 feet long. There is also an 8' x 4' 00 gauge Corfe Viaduct layout and two small layouts: Hornby-Dublo and N gauge. Donations of about £5 per week are welcome. We also welcome 50p donations for hot drinks which will be used to fund disabled access as the stairs are a bit steep.
Robin Brasher
A couple of pictures of Wareham Station and Signal Box on the 0 gauge layout. Network Rail were planning to demolish the Signal Box on completion of their resignalling project but the Swanage Railway has saved it for use as a mess room.
