  1. This view shows how made the curve gluing 2 pieces of hardboard and then holding them in place with a series of clamps until the glue sets
  2. We have been working on the wing walls for one of the road bridges under the railway. We have based then on wing walls on a bridge close to Northfield Station which have a slight curve on them as the protype picture of the bridge at Northfield station shows.
  3. Afew more views of progress looking the other way into the town

The 51st Redditch Model Railway Exhibion now in its new permanent March date instead of September at the Trinity High School, Redditch Town Centre 10 to 15 minutes walk from the rail station 15 minute drive from either junction 2 or 3 on M42. Free on site parking. Selection of quality layouts in the a variety of scales and garages together with trade stand support
  5. We are progressing with the storage tanks for the oil terminal We have 8 of these tanks scratch built around a length of plastic waste pipe. This has been covered in plasicard to replicate the metal panels the real ones are made from. The tops use the lids from storage containers purchased from Wilco before they went out of business
  6. Progress tonight on the Cinema. Being scratch built around a mdf shell
  7. Hi Captain Kernow - We don't have a first exhibition planned as we still have loads of building to scratch build for the layout. We think unfortunately you will have to wait a few years until the layout is on the exhibition circuit
  8. Over the last couple of weeks we have made a start on the scratch building from MDF and plastic tube of the dual carriageway road that will dominate the one end of the layout - designed to take the eye away from the fact the railway is curving round to enter the fiddle yard
  9. Just so you can see we have not been idle since the last posts - the town area is moving on with start made on the town's cinema as well as some of the other building being more complete
  10. From this year the Redditch Model Railway Exhibition moves from its usual 3rd weekend in September to a new permanent slot on the first full weekend of March. The 2024 show will therefore be on 2nd and 3rd March. The venue remains the Trinity High School in the town centre 10-15 minutes walk from rail station - plenty of free car parking on site at the school details at www.redditch-mrc.com
