  1. Hi RMweb!

Need help to 'delete' or 'refill'  albums??? They are all 'blank!'900600749_LochCreaganRailBridge.6.DrawnbeforeDestruction..DJR(2).JPG.14ae71e943e6c345e487e33309caec40.JPG

      Mikkel

Sadly you will have to add the photos again.

      See: https://www.rmweb.co.uk/topic/171078-rmweb-change-of-hosting-missing-images-april-2022/?do=findComment&comment=4917642

The old images can be "deleted" by clickin the cog wheel in the upper right hand corner of an image, and then choosing "hide". Alternatively you can hide the entire album by clicking "Manage album" on the album's main page.

I would like to empty the whole thing and start again.

I am missing a whole lot! I am hoping RMweb can help to let me start again???

As these drawings were done for historical reasons...

Putting in a pencil drawing that got taken, (HB & 4B) and altered it with the 'Paintz'

program that I recommend to anyone.

(drawing 'cut' & 'paste' turned upside down for reflection) Hope that the 'Albums'

    can be reinstated or redone!

    D J Robinson...Landscaper...'Calm Reflections'

P.s. The more I studied this bridge the more incredible it got!! The angles it has that

all had to meet at the 'final' towers? Have to take my hat off to all those that

    measured all this!?

  3. Hi Everyone!

Regret all the trouble and loss of all my uploads. Spent a year in 'lockdown'

Spent retirement writing poetry; woke to find it all gone! someone knows

how to  'heart' smack? Have been told to 'start' again, but glad King Charles

visited Dunfermline, did manage a few verses.

I do regret the smacking via my computer folders. Don't know how to clear

out the old stuff from RMweb so I can start again...

Since we had our railways decimated, tried to use RMweb to draw the history

of the area, it was all done for history. I did manage to download from RMweb

onto my USB. (just in time) have been advised to hand in my computer drawings

to the local history library, Perhaps someone would like to know what the area

    once looked like?

Do regret the 'loss' of our other rail bridge near Alloa; the station has also gone,

Managed photos of the stations last days. But, glad to know they 'reopened'

    some of the Alloa Station.

Below is one of my drawings from Alloa To Kinross Junction, passing the Ochil Hills.

The DMU heading for Dollar...D J Robinson.

P.s. It may be Trainz! But I enjoyed drawing 'History' on it!

  4. After injury and ill health, It dawned on me that I could draw "Lost Scottish Railways" Spent quite a bit of time doing "drawings for Knowledge" What is enclosed are "screenshots" that I managed to save from my destroyed computer? (Watch your Fans? if stopped" will destroy your computer) My only hope is that I have saved enough to be of some help to fellow modellers? I regret just how much I lost.

Have never gone back to computer modelling as I have a lot to be bitter about? The time spent researching was phenomenal, and drew the routes accordingly. These are now gone, with the lost codes to get into my saved disks.

I do hope what I have left is helpful in some way, My thanks to everyone that helped and did modelling for me. Some of the locomotive models and diesels were outstanding, And privileged to see them run.

                                     Thank You,

                 David J Robinson : "Landscaper"

The computer model of the black 5 "Glasgow Highlander" was outstanding. Not forgetting

    (k)  Alva to Cambus snow curve, onto Alloa Railway Station. Right of Cambus was the track to Stirling.

    (l) Alloa Signal Cabin with Moon.  (The orb of night on that river played!)

    m) Locomotive "Earl Of Airlie" at beginning, Top! shows left side?  4 wheeled bogie caused "swivel"

problems;  the design breaking swivel pins, at regular intervals on curves and points?

    (n) Although both locomotives  were given names!? Both ended up failing their journey?

    (0) The names (a) - "Earl Of Airlie"  (b) - "Lord Wharncliffe."

    (p) "Earl Of Airlie" ended its life as a "stationary" engine and boiler, at a factory.

    (q) Have added "plan" view of Alloa Rail Bridge, as cine' film shows bridge with wooden floor?

The wood floor "separated" by steel beams. "riveted"  and spaced at regular intervals.

    (r)  The "flooring" plates that supports the boiler room, It was not known if this was "decking" or "steel plate"?

    (s)  Lost photograph (1) A picture shows a 16 ton mineral wagon stopped on the swing section, and a

bucket of coal being hauled up to the boiler room!?

         David J Robinson. (landscaper)

    Notes :

In the files  "About me"   Have included further drawings of the Alloa Rail Bridge, Top drawing is of the 100 foot

span at longcarse across deep mud, heading for the swing section.

The next drawing is of the piers and supports made from red stone found in Ayrshire.

The third drawing is the  100 foot span to Throsk signal cabin and station.

The fourth drawing is of the Throsk signal cabin, in its earlier small window glazing, proved unpopular?

The fifth drawing covers the cabin at throsk with its larger window panes. Improved vision.

The sixth drawing is the plan of the Alloa longcarse signal cabin, with its lamp room underground.

The seventh drawing  is to show the  "lamps" in use at the time when the swing section was in working order?

The "ladder" allowed access to the boiler room. The "gangway" steps were fixed, and rotated with

the  swing span. The only way to the boiler room was through the lattice work, crossing the rails, then climbing

the ladder to the "trapdoor" in or at the boiler room floor?  One more conclusion, if the boiler flooring had a

"trapdoor"  (?)  The "boiler room" support floor, would have to be "diamond" grooved metal plate?  For welding

and  bolting purposes? (The larger Drawing 13, is an attempt to show all the steps involved with the swing section)

The little hut with corrugated roof to the "left"  of the boiler room, was the "lamp hut!" The box next to it was a coal store,

the other little box on  the "right" side of the boiler room, was also used for coal storage.

One more graft, was the lamp being taken to the lamp bracket on the lower deck fronts? "There were two!"

    (1) You went to the small corrugated lamp hut and checked the lamp for fuel?

    (2) You went down the ladder to rail level. made your way through the lattice.

    (3) Down the revolving steps, down the stairs to the deck! Up the other steps to the lamp bracket on the pole!

    (4) Then you would have to make  your way back to the boiler room, via all the steps and ladders?

    (5) Black smoke from the boiler chimney was usually dark in colour, the light grey normally came from the high

pressure steam release valve, just jutting out below the roof structure. There is a photo of this valve!"

    Notes

    (6) Other diagrams include the Connel Ferry Bridge, which was track and road. The track is no longer there.

    (7)  Connel Ferry station is still there, but most of the track has been lifted.

    (8) The "Creagan viaduct" has also been included, as this is now gone and rebuilt into a road bridge.

    (9) One more inclusion is a screenshot of the Tay Rail Bridge model, entitled : "Storm Brewing!"

    10)  Have included the picture of the Rail Bridge opening!  I remember as a child, getting the loco and train.

    at Alloa;  where we trundled off to rail bridge junction.  At the Alloa Rail Bridge, we were given a "stop" signal;

A ship had given the two whistles, and the bridge was opened.

Once the ship had passed, the span was closed, and the loco was allowed to proceed. The wait felt forever?

We did not stop at Throsk, but carried on to  Larbert then got the train to Edinburgh. Came back home via the

Forth Rail Bridge, then back to Dunfermline.

    11)  Have added another drawing of the Alloa Rail Bridge to explain the "lamp" placements. A lot of ships moved by

night. As the rail traffic at night could  be hectic?

Have included the 80000cl 4 at Queensferry pier, not many people know about the tunnel to get there? Also included

the screenshot of the viaduct at Killin, and the "Black Watch" Crossing the River Forth Rail Bridge.

    12) One more was the "Creagan" viaduct that crossed the river Creran, the track onwards to Ballachulish.

    13) The viaduct over the river Dochart was drawn, as this carried the track to Killin station and goods siding.

I regret losing my windows 2000 to a failure; I even lost the Gmax CAD program with all my work! I have all the disks with my routes I made but the codes have been lost? I can't open them. I regret all the fine models I had and can't get in for them? I have a lot to be bitter about with trainz, and have never gone back.  and have never kept up with the company! I did find it a brilliant model maker and did a lot of local history on it, even the Forth Bridge to Alloa through to Dalmeny. back to the Forth Bridge, managed a full circle! and it's all on a CD. Sorry! But gave up with them? The last thing I heard was "It was possible to play trainz on a laptop!" Never tried it???

      D J Robinson : Landscaper.

  10. I regret several injuries, and ill health, that I tried to regain lost railways with computer graphics.

I managed quite a lot of screenshots from my art in the hope of information to fellow modellers.

There was a lot of work done to recreate Scottish lost railways. I also used the computer graphics

for drawings as an aid to building a layout.  I regret the loss of my computer and passwords into RMweb! Also lost my email address but live in hope I can get back into the RM program and get to visit my artwork Of Dundee - Callander - Alloa Rail Bridge and Drawings for knowledge. A lot was done to make these Albums of information.

Have found some of my artwork on the web site of Alloa Council? and others Including Barnhill Viaduct at Perth,  and the artwork done about the Tay Rail Bridge. My information at the moment has been found to be scattered about ?  Have found my art about the Forth Bridge? All my albums have been pretty well "scattered" but at least they still there.I typed in "Alloa Rail Bridge " landscaper" and was glad to find these! Would like to get my albums back to be viewed as I used too
