  1. Gallery now further updated with three of the new models https://wicknessmodels.co.uk/project/union-mills-gallery/
  2. A couple of new additions to my Union Mills gallery today, a B12 in BR Black and a Q2 on BR Black Link to Full Union Mills Gallery
  3. Older Graham Farish model with brass drive gear circa 1979. This was a repair followed by dcc conversion, runs pretty well which can be seen in this video https://youtu.be/bc9WyUItQzE
  4. This is an early Poole chassis model fitted with gaugemaster dcc92 decoder and marwick brush. The model has a brass drive gear and surprisingly copper pickups which look like they have been a replacement for the original silver ones as the lower plate retention screw is cosmetic, there is no chassis screw hole in which to insert it so it has been cut short at some point. It runs remarkably well on dcc as can be seen here https://youtu.be/-gGwGoswxpE Does anyone know the exact vintage of the model?
  5. Some examples of Union Mills locos fitted with DCC https://wicknessmodels.co.uk/project/union-mills-gallery/

  9. This sound project is a collaboration between Wickness Models and Marks Trains, the project incorporates all the benefits of our RealDrive Projects and includes specialist ambient soundscape of your choice. This model shows many of the features including multiple playable horns on a single function, the soundscape and the two separate soundtracks for Electric and Diesel running. Here is the Sound Bulletin with extended instructions on prototypical lighting https://wicknessmodels.co.uk/wp/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/RealDrive-73-Airport.pdf
  10. Its working here but if you would like a second link its here https://www.wicknessmodels.co.uk/images/bis-instructions.pdf
  11. ‘MarWick’ Brush Insulating Sleeve – For easy DCC conversion of early Graham Farish locomotives. A joint venture by Mark’s Trains and Wickness Models. A sleeve designed and manufactured to aid the conversion of early Graham Farish ‘Poole’ built locomotives to DCC. With no chassis drilling required, no mess, and a quick and easy installation. Fitting instructions supplied and can also be downloaded here

  13. Youchoos Sound Decoders from Wickness Models at very competitive prices now sorted by Region. The decoders are available here with loads of speaker options https://www.wicknessmodels.co.uk/shop/sound-decoders-2/zimo-sound-decoders And here is an article on the MX648 powerhouse of a small sound decoder https://www.wicknessmodels.co.uk/wickness-information/dcc-sound-information/the-zimo-mx648-sound-decoder Finally the Wickness Models advice guide on fitting https://www.wicknessmodels.co.uk/wickness-information/dcc-sound-information/dcc-sound-and-testing-advice
  14. The most recent range of Graham Farish small diesel locomotives are excellent on dcc. The new chassis type with enclosed can motor is capable of producing genuine shunting speeds in n gauge. Converting these to dcc is both affordable and very worthwhile Please have a look at the link below https://www.wicknessmodels.co.uk/wickness-information/specific-manufacturers-on-dcc/graham-farish-locomotives/graham-farish-small-diesels
  15. Peco Jubilee N Gauge fitted with Uhlenbrock 73400 micro decoder, modification of the chassis is necessary to get the fit. Motor also has to be removed, isolated and replaced as part of the fitting
