If only, I have not been to Paignton for quite a few years My mum and Dad used to take me every year when I was a kid, then Vicky an myself used to take our older two kids ( Louie and Dominick ) every year, They are now in there 20's, We took our younger two (Benjamin and Rachael) around 6 years ago but getting better paid jobs made us venture to Far off Florida, and Caribbean holidays ( and Butlins ), I do miss Paignton, and Goodrington, there'sore HST photos from there to come

Unidentified MML set passing Trent Jct. with a Leeds - St. Pancras working 13th December 2007

[attachment=1025410:MML13thDec07 004.jpg

Ive Just had to sit and look at that picture for about 5 minutes to get my bearings on which direction it’s taken, I can now see it’s on the down fast looking towards long Eaton

the thing that’s thrown me is you can’t see the ‘high level’ lines going toward Toton that are on a bridge to the right of the picture so I’d convinced myself the pic was taken on the high level lines but I could see the track set up was all wrong (you can’t get direct to derby from that side)

Hi Jim,

Maybe I should have stated 'Trent South Jcn.' to make it a bit clearer.  The pic was taken from the cab of a St. Pancras - Nottingham train, waiting the road to Notts once the HST cleared.

Dave

Always wondered why the FGW power cars only ever got pain blue rather than the lines, they always looked a little unfinished to me.

I’m guessing cost.

However I do agree they looked much nicer with the lines on
