Ernie Inspection car

Hi.

I know this is a bit of a strange place to ask this, but, I have just got an underground ernie inspection car, to put under a Gnomy tram that i am building for 0-16.5, I want to use the chassis that is under the said engine, but I want to get rid of the big circuit board that has the 8 pin decoder socket, as this will not fit under the body or the tram.
If I was to put the wires from the pick ups to the board and conect the red and blue wire together and the black and white wire would this work, the black and red wires are on the pick-ups and the white and blue on the motor brushes thorugh a capasitor.

I've not seen the Inspection car, but the 8-pin DCC socket wll be wired so that the two pins at one end are one side (pickup and motor), and the two pins at the other end are the other side. The blanking plug just shorts these together.

If you connect the pickup and motor leads that connect to each end you will maintain the correct direction of travel.

hello
i have converted 20 gomys from the undeground ins car , you dont need to remove the board it will fit in the plastic part of the body if you remove all the plastic webbing from under the seating area , the switch for the light will fit in as well , i have mounted the light in the right place a light would be on the tram the bogie will fit the chassis frame if you sand down the sides of the bogie , to secure the bogie use 4 small self tappers though the plastic frame of the the tram , there is enought room to put in a chip as well but you need to use a small digitrax one .

hope this helps
