Risen from the ashes

Well it's been a week and most of that without RMWEB. It's meant that I've been able to get one loco finished (T9 30717) and another almost finished 34100 Appledore last seen plunging to it's demise off the painting table!!! As they say we have the technology, I had a spare donor thankfully.   All will be revealed as to what they look like when the final kinks are ironed out of RMWEB's server move. Little tip to the guys a server provider - use a bigger Hammer

A new day, a new loco...

Well after yesterday's mishap with Appledore. I decided to make a start on renumbering my latest T9.   Starting out with a narrow cab version (30724), I carried out the bogie mod, swapped the pipes round and adjusted the contacts on the tender wheels. Fitted the detail, removed the cabside numbers and flattened the smokebox numberplate down (has two raised rivets that need to be removed to ensure a good fit of the etched replacement). I fitted the etched plate, applied the new cabside numbers,

Disaster....

So much for 34100 Appledore being in the paintshop It currently lies totalled on the layout after it got knocked off the paint stand by yours truly and hit the floor smokebox first - it's not a pretty sight. Fortunately I have another donor...

Update of Sorts...

Another day on the TBG workbench and some progress has been made on the PMV. The body and chassis are as one and the buffers and couplings are fitted!     Still a fair amount to do before I can say job done - glazing, transfers (must remember to order them), fit the roof, etc.   Other news, Rebuilt West Country 34100 Appledore is prepped for the paintshop and it's first phase of weathering.   And finally I've acquired another T9 for my fleet This will become either 30717 or 30718 as I

Out with the old...

Well a new RMWeb and a new start for the Bullied Nutters Lounge.   New beginnings, but pretty much the same content;)   First an update on the workbench   30803 Sir Harry Le Fise Lake is now finished and ready to enter service:     My first kit build is going along quite nicely the Parkside Dundas PMV kit has gone together pretty well so far and the various sub assemblies are painted. Many thanks to Graham (Muz) for his pointers as to where to find the appropriate transfers.

From Bulleid to T9 Nutter?

Without realising it, I have gone a bit mad on T9's... some how I now have 7 of them:   30120 renumbered from a donor 30724 by TMC, I've recrested to it's final BR Late crest livery (TMC had it as preserved in BR Lined Black Early Crest), real coal in tender.   30288 being renumbered from 30285 on an early crest, currently being lightly weathered, front coupling pocket removed, still on workbench.   30310 as bought, except for real coal in tender.   30338 renumbered from a donor 30310, l
