It would probably be better as a thread rather than a blog this.

Virtually impossible to give 'advice, tips, hints' on everything there is to know about the hobby too as its a vast subject covering many different areas.

I would suggest you have a look in the 'help' topics thread and if you have particular questions, try and use the search function or raise a topic on something more specific to your interests.
