At last I have found a local supplier for Astonish floor polish which, if you have not been following this quest, is brilliant for sticking down ballast. A new branch of JTF Mega Discount Warehouse has just opened outside town and they have it at 89p + vat which is far cheaper than anywhere else I have seen it on the web.

Other than this startling discovery I have ripped up the track on the left had board as I managed to get the points in the wrong place and decided that I couldn't live with it - just have to put it all back now.

Have also spent ages cleaning up the thirty odd figures I got at the weekend and should get around to undercoating them tomorrow. Also ordered a book on British Army uniforms of WW1 so hopefully I will manage to do this bit without annoying too many military experts.
