No this isn't an order but a comment on how my work is! Nothing for months and then everything all at once. Guess you know where I am going with this one - yes - no progress on layout! Am afraid that my resolution to do a bit every day has gone out of the window. Well, not completely, I think about it every day and if I had more time I would be worrying about it! In case you have not been following this thread from the start this layout is being built specifically to be exhibited at the First World War event at Apedale in September 2014 - only just over a year away. I will do it of course but need to get a move on. Work will quiet down soon but downside of this is of course less money to play with!

I did make a cryptic reference to another project last week and here it is;

No, I am not mad enough to start another railway but it is in fact a great way to earn Brownie points and to show the wife that model railway skills are transferable so not a complete waste of time! Within moments it had turned into this;

A display stand for my wife's new crafty venture - and if it doesn't take off I have a couple of ready made base boards!

Also getting in the way were a couple of days in Wales in the monster tent but did take the opportunity to stop off in Hay on Wye and plunder it's many bookshops for useful stuff. Came away with rather too many books but now have loads more inspiration for how the scenic areas (actually they will be far from scenic!), will look - just need to find the time to get on with it!
