Updated Track Plan

The new track plan has a revised layout for the Burgh Island section. The island is now slightly smaller, but is now surrounded by water. This should make it easier to create the illusion that the island is “floating” in the sea.

The track layout from St Mary Mead to Burgh Island now has a gentle curve to it, in an attempt to get rid of the “train set” look of the straight lines.

Probably, but then it wouldn't be as fun!

This section is going to be the last one I'm going to tackle (hopefully my track building skills will be up to the job by then!) I imagine that the layout in this section will be revised again at a later date.

I do, generally, strive for simplicity over anything else so hopefully I can find a way to make this section simpler.

The main aim behind this section is not to be especially prototypical, but to allow trains to turn around and start their return journeys as quickly as possible.

I will do a blog post at some point explaining how I want this section to work, and maybe there might be some suggestions to achieve this is a simpler way.
