Hi

Firstly the picture below, which shows the scenic work that I have been doing today, does not do my work justice. However it is the only one I have taken so I have used it.

I have installed a landform of polystyrene, which is covered in PECO Modrock and then painted earth colour, and is now awaiting the addition of grass etc.

I know that the bridge needs work doing to it, currently the bridge supports looks drunk!

I have laid the ballast, but this requires much tiding up, before the desired result is achieved.

If you havn't yet seen my improved legs, they are really worth look at, click on the link below!

How does a gentleman comment on a lady's legs :)

They look a little spindly in the photo but, if they support the load and are rigid, then I'm sure that they are fine!  Personally, I rather like a nice Georgian stand under a round table:

But I'll agree that wouldn't be very practical!

It's nice to see the scenery starting to appear - looks good so far :)  You are progressing at a great pace!

Thanks Mike! your a gent.

Since I took the photographs last night, I have realised why I was unhappy with the it.

The earth colour is very dark, at the time of the photo the ballast glue was wet, and therefore it looks much darker, and finally I took a single photo of the whole layout frontage, where two would have been much better.

BUT at the time I was very tied.

Taking photos can be very helpful in sorting out your ideas.  When I made the little horse-shunting scene on my blog, I took loads of photos and moved the models about, until I got the effect I wanted.  Colours are very hard to judge because they always change as the paint dries.  No rush -keep "steaming on"

p.s. - there was a pic of a nice Georgian table in my previous comment but it disappeared.  I've tried putting it back- let's see if it 'sticks' this time.  (I don't understand how pics work on this website)

There have been some slight interuptions to normal service recently, due to work being done on the site. The picture is displayed most of the time.

Thanks for your comments, they are helpful. Can anyone give me some help with how wet the glue needs to be to apply static grass, using a Noch puffer bottle?

I imagine that the weight of the legs, is very important, if they are having to be carried on an off public transport?
