SWMBO was out at a meeting last night, so the kitchen was requisitioned for the purpose of train set work.

First he camping coach steps were sunk into the cinders and then glued in place. I hoovered up all the cinders scraped away into a handkerchief for re-use. The coach was then screwed to it's mountings. The mountings consist of a long 8BA screw through each bogie pivot into a nut soldered to the sleeper beneath. A solder tag sits under the head of each screw so that power can be passed into the coach for future illumination

I've also reprogrammed the TT300 point motors to fit in with the signalling plan and thanks to the extreme patience of beast66606 I have also worked out how the turnout next to the 'box should work in conjunction with half of the double slip which will greatly simplify things when it comes to operating the layout in anger (hopefully not literally!)

Just before pack away something green and welsh paid a visit - he needs a better decoder than a Bachmann 3-function ......
