Something I should have done a long time ago!

The act in question was actually trying to fit the completed boards into the back of the car. Quite why I have gone this far without doing this just re enforces the fact that I am inherently stupid at times! I did do a lot of planning and even made up card board mock ups of the boards so they should fit....... and they did! Not a lot to spare but they did. I must now turn my attention to working out a way of joining them in pairs for transit. Am afraid there are no pictures of this miracle as the weather really was horrid.

The studio has now had to revert to its proper role of making me some money so have brought a couple of the boards into the office again to work on in relative comfort. Have even done myself a to-do list! First up on this was to hard wire a duplicate feed into the Colbalts as handy though the push in wires are, they do have a habit of falling out and the layout hasn't gone anywhere yet.

Things are going to get much busier under here when I get the manual switches and LED route indicators wired in. Also took the opportunity of marking the correct positions of wires and switches just in case it should all come off.

Next up was to distress the big building a bit then build up the ground area around the buildings, then stick them down - real progress!

I was slightly alarmed by the amount of soil ballast that had found it's way onto the floor so have treated it to some dilute PVA. I also took the opportunity to get some grass and weeds onto the track with the static grass fly swot. This has made quite a difference to the look of the track but will have to wait for a proper photo session to capture it.
