Forging ahead!

blog-0585479001392076591.jpgThat is what my new building seems to be turning into - a forge and a French forge at that! Having finally got around to doing a mock up building, my idea of a house seemed to turn into a barn and then just to be different a smithy. This should be quite a challenge to fit out and I do think a timber framed building would add a nice contrast. It will be in a state of disrepair but needs to be pretty solid on the left hand side to hide the fiddle yard. Big doors should allow the scene with the wagon and horses o be visible. The building itself will be taken over by the field kitchen so should be quite a busy scene.

Roadway Mk2 is now in place and both the buildings finally stuck down so now I can get on with bedding them in and filling in more of the white space at last.

Starting to come together nicely now.

And yes - before anyone mentions it those horses are floating several scale feet above the ground!

Although I truly hate the abbreviation I did LoL at this one! Well more of a CoL (chortle out loud), actually. Has helped lift an absolutely awful morning with persistent torrential rain that can only lead to trouble.

I always enjoy 'before and after' views.  There's something very satisfying about turning a simple cardboard box into a beautifully detailed model :)

This is the best part - the coming together of all those beautifully modeled elements.  Fabulous.

I am finding this out now - have never got anywhere near this close to finishing anything before and certainly not this size!
