Foster Street - The Case of The Missing Railings
Just a very quick entry this time (Hurray I can hear you cheer ).
I have been working on various little projects on the layout, you know the ones that just drain modelling hours, anyway one of the quick projects I have managed to complete is to convert a "Luton" type van into a flat bed.
The need for this came about, because I was bored of making railings to keep the residents of the stepped terraces on the layout safe. Showing a "devil may care" attitude to Health and Safety I decided to model a scene depicting the railings being removed. The idea behind this is to maybe replicate a metal collecting drive as seen in the war years, or maybe the first stage of the railings being replaced as part of modernisation (I believe some people in the area have inside toilets?).
Anyway let me know what you think, I must admit its a pity we don't have similar metal collection drives now. I could donate the pots and pans from our kitchen, without mentioning any names, it must be a skill to make Chicken a taste nicer before it goes in the oven than when it comes out cooked??
Well I guess this maybe my last post, as if the Domestic Overlord reads this, they will kill me, still its quicker than "Death by Roast Chicken"
Until next time, as ever Happy Modelling
