More 'home brewed Faller'
Latest vehicle to join the Grime Street bus fleet is this Leeds City Transport AEC Regent III with Roe body.
Built from the Little Bus Company kit 'Roe 4', which in itself is a very nice, very easy to build kit.
It's powered by my usual 1.5v AAA battery this is mounted in the upper deck seats and from normally viewing distances pretty un obtrusive, it's connected to the chassis by Faller charging pins.
The motor/gearbox is by KKPMO in Poland, costing around £17.50 delivered, as usual Faller truck wheels and steering axle are fitted.
It was finished in the relatively short lived post war Leeds bus blue, adverts destinations etc by my good friend Andy Burrows (aka Purple Door on here) some are available in his Tramads range. Crests by Sunrise, these are definately the best Leeds crests to date.
It has all the usual bits, on/off switch, reed switch etc but no on board charging, this is pretty much my norm now as I prefer the ease of build that way. Cost of mechanism parts probably sub £35 inc post.
Anyway a few hopefully self explanatory build pics.
Hurriedly pressed into service but not fully finished....
