4mm scale 009 gauge snailbeach no;4 Baldwin 4-6-0T

After a long absence of model making, a quick project was needed to get me motivated after a very long few months.

Sitting around was a half built gem Baldwin 4-6-0T which was used as a development model for my RT models replacement, fully working walchaerts valve gear.

The loco was never meant to be any particular loco until I visited snailbeach as been working nearby recentl so the Idea was set.

The model has been built with superglue mostly.

The valve gear rivets have been squashed carefully with a jewellers vice as I couldn't tap them with a hammer late at night!

Lovely work Robert.

Nice build and the finish/weathering is nice and subtle.

Cheers,

Ah! I have built a couple of these in the past and probably would have built a few more if some nice person hadn't stolen the kits from the lock up they were residing in while I was moving house. Never managed to get them to run properly though hence the move to bigger stuff!
