Another thing ticked off the to do list - have been meaning to clean the wagon wheels for ages and with a trip out tomorrow (see later), thought it would be a good time for a Spring clean - and did they need it! The amount of grot that came off them (particularly the D class wagons which are the oldest and possibly most used), was unbeliveable. Also the number of wheels that had what looked like little lumps of glue on the flange, loose tyres. out of gauge or even not going around at all was quite alarming. Considering that other than exhibition use they are generally snug in thier boxes and don't get used at home. So here is a pic of me really enjoying myself on about the twentieth wagon and thinking that this task would be work far better with a glass of wine. Sadly the only alcohol involved was a bottle of IPA. just so as not to creally confuse anyone as I was on first meeting this abbreviation it stands for Isopropyl Alcohol and not India Pale Ale!

Anyway, on to tomorrows outing. With much appreciated help from Simon, the whole layout will be off to the 7mm Narrow Gauge open day in Mickleover tomorrow. We did go last year but only took half of it. For various reasons it is handy to have the oppertunity to set it all up in the warm. Have lifted this from Mike's message;

Everyone is invited to the following event

7mm Narrow Gauge Open Day (was a 'Members' Day' but is open to all)

Saturday 30th January 2016 10.00am to 4.00pm

Admission £3

Mickleover Community Centre,

Uttoxeter Road,

Mickleover,

Derby.

DE3 0DA

I needed to look up the address myself anyway!

So here is 95% of it all loaded up with just a few odds and ends to add in the morning.
