22mm Frame Spacer

I warn you now - this is not the most interesting post ever! It is not that there has been nothing interesting going on, quite a lot of it actually but conseqently have been too busy to write about it! I will get around to it soon. But, without this post things might not get any more interesting as I am stuck. I am working on a little project that I have not written about yet as all the pictures are on the little white camera which is on one of it's regular disaperances, but have a problem with frame spacers. I have in my bits box a solitary example which is 22mm long making it ideal for outside frames. Trouble is, I have no idea where it came from and all the usual suspects such as Markits have nothing that long. Does anyone know who might sell them?

This is a bit of lazyness on my part as I know I can make some but am having trouble with the tail stock on the lathe in that it won't clamp onto the bed and the drill chuck won't hold in the morse taper all of which makes drilling out the center a bit difficult. Must get it fixed somehow.

22mm spacers are listed in section 10B of my Markits catalogue:

(You need to scroll down to the 0-gauge section)

Thanks Mike, can see them now. Of course didn't occur to me to look in O gauge as it does seem to me to be a bit of a small size compared to a 32mm track gauge.

I use hex brass standoff (bought from Hong Kong), they're meant for keeping electronic circuit boards apart.  You can get 22mm m2 tapped ones off ebay at around a fiver for hundred of them, m3 ones are a bit dearer.

Thanks, that is a really useful tip. There are some very interesting assortment sets up there which could get me out of several fixes I manage to get myself into! I have some 22mm spacers on way from Eileen's in the end but some of these are sure to follow.
